When I first took up photography I shot live music performances around London. Being a musician myself I have many friends who are in bands or solo artists & they gave me many a perfect opportunity to improve my camera skills. Shooting in low light is tricky, & shooting erratically moving subjects under flashing coloured lights I found out is very tricky indeed.
Nowadays I prefer to shoot other performing arts genres, but my formative late night training in the boozy, bustling pubs & clubs of London primed me well for my current practice.
I have added two new pages, 'Deadly Circus Fire', live at the Embassy Club, Mayfair, London, 2010. And 'Musicians', some of my favourite shots of various musicians, taken between 2010 & 2014.
I am a freelance photographer specialising in performance arts.
