I've had a busy start to 2018. The main project I've been working on is 'Nagasaki - Wilderness Mute (Natura Morta)' at Oracles Teatre, with an international crew from Japan, Catalunya, Spain, Peru, America & myself from England (in the loosest sense).
Here is the official synopsis of the work:
"'Nagasaki - Wilderness Mute (Natura Morta) is a work of multidisciplinary collaboration between music and dance butoh around the nuclear bomb launched in Nagasaki in 1945. The purpose of the work is to invoke the historical memory of the atomic attack and to raise the awareness of viewers about the danger of a new nuclear escalation worldwide during the current situation of political and military tension between North Korea and the US. The work confronts us with the irreversible damages upon planet Earth, the global home we belong to, and drives us to make personal decisions about our views on nuclear weapons."
The premier of the production will be performed at Monestir Sant Pau del Camp, El Raval, Barcelona, 20hrs, sunday 4th february 2018 (taquilla inversa). (The church of Sant Pau, El Raval, is the oldest church in Barcelona & also the only existing Roman example.)
The image selection presented in this blog post depicts approximately only a third of the total production visuals, due to my having to relinquish my roles as part of the crew as explained below.

(I had to leave the 'Nagasaki' project, of which I was photographer & lighting technician, due to a cycling accident which has left me with two broken wrists. My photography capabilities may be limited over the next few months during my recovery, but I hope to get some fresh images to the website over this time period.)
