I extracted this series of images from an improvised group butoh performance held at Oracles Teatre, Barcelona, recently. Mushimaru Fujieda had spent a few days performing & instructing a workshop at Oracles, at the invitation of Orland Verdú, the theatre's director. This selection of photographs was captured midway through the performance with Mushimaru isolated & against a wall, casting dramatic shadows with his lithe, articulated figure.
